How we hold and process your information
Groundwork UK commissioned Wavehill to support Groundwork UK in expanding its impact measurement framework for the Green Doctor programme, with a particular focus on the health and wellbeing impacts of the programme.
As part this work we are seeking to speak to or survey beneficiaries that have interacted with the Green Doctors programme in order to gain a deeper understanding of the wider health and wellbeing impacts of the programme, as well as to understand what data collection methods are feasible in the programme context.
Participation in the research is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interviews and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.
The data you provide will only be used for the purposes of this research. Any personal information collected as part of the research is kept confidential. Your answers to the interview questions will not be made public in a way that could lead to you being identified.
It is also important to note that the team undertaking this scoping research do not work for Groundwork UK or any of the organisations that are involved in the delivery or funding of this programme. This is an independent review.
Wavehill will delete the information you provide and all personal data relating to this research within six months of the end of the evaluation.
If you have any queries regarding the evaluation, please feel free to contact Megan Clark (megan.clark@wavehill.com), who is leading the research, or Joe Osborne (Joe.Osborne@GROUNDWORK.ORG.UK) Green Doctor Programme Manager.

Further information
Why is this research happening?
The main aim of this project is to improve how we measure the difference the Green Doctor programme makes in people’s lives. While we already track how much money and carbon the programme helps households save, we want to find better ways to understand and measure other important benefits, like how it improves people’s health and wellbeing.
What type of information is collected through the fieldwork?
The project aims to explore how the programme is delivered, its current impact measurement processes, and key priorities for measuring its impact. It also seeks to collect information about the broader health and wellbeing benefits experienced by beneficiaries, such as reduced anxiety levels, and to gather input on ways to make the data collection process easier for beneficiaries.
We will also gather email addresses in order to be able to distribute vouchers as a thank you for beneficiaries’ participation.
What is personal data?
Personal data means any information that could lead to a person being identified either alone or in combination with other widely-available information, e.g. their name, their address, or details specific to that person.
How long will personal data be kept for?
Wavehill will hold personal data during the contract period but will delete it six months after the end of the contract anticipated to be in August 2025.
What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected through the research?
The evaluation of the Green Doctors programme enables Groundwork UK to understand and better demonstrate the ways in which the programme is working effectively.
Groundwork UK has a legitimate interest in improving its impact measurement.
The research is being carried out by Wavehill on behalf of Groundwork UK. Your individual participation in the research is voluntary.
What is the purpose of processing your answers to the research?
The data is used for research purposes only. The data will be analysed to enable Groundwork UK to enhance its current impact measurement framework. This will help Groundwork UK and its associated trusts to better demonstrate and communicate its wider impact which may help secure further funding for the continuation of the Green Doctor programme. The data will not be used for commercial or marketing purposes and it will not be used to take make decisions about you as an individual. Language learning models and 3rd party software may be used to help us process data
Who has access to the personal data collected through the research?
Wavehill will have a copy of the personal data to allow it to carry out the interviews. Responses collected will be analysed by researchers at Wavehill to produce an impact measurement framework and summary report for Groundwork UK. The outputs will not identify any individuals participating in the research and attributable data will not be shared with Groundwork UK, or anyone else outside of Wavehill. Wavehill will delete all personal data within six months of the end of the project. Groundwork UK will not have access to personal data collected through the interviews.
