Testing how the Alacrity programme supported entrepreneurial talent in Wales

The programme involved cohorts of graduates joining a 15 month programme where they received mentoring from industry experts, business training and incubation support to develop and execute new digital product ideas.

The evaluation adopted a mixed methods approach engaging with stakeholders, alumni of the Alacrity programme and gathering, analysing and modelling quantitative evidence to determine impact and added value. The research examined how effectively the programme supported participants to build businesses and assessed the impact and value for money (through analysis of return on investment) of the programme.
The evaluation (published here) used the evidence base to provide clear guidance for future decision making and ongoing funding on the Alacrity scheme.
